Welcome Home To The Village of Grafton

Welcome to the Grafton Village Fire Department page!
The Village of Grafton, Ohio is served by a dedicated, all-volunteer Fire Department.  Our staff includes State-certified firefighters of all levels and Emergency Medical Technicians at the basic and intermediate levels.  These trained men and women donate their time to serve the community.  With no staffed fire stations, they respond from their homes to help their neighbors in times of need.
The department, founded in 1935, provides protection to our Village of 4.57 square miles and a population of approximately 3,000 residents.  In addition, we protect another 3,000 people at three State of Ohio correctional facilities in our jurisdiction.
Grafton Village Fire Department responds to approximately 200 emergency calls per year from two fire stations, one at 1013 Chestnut Street and the other inside North Park at 1050 Novak Road. Our apparatus consists of:
•           Squad 228, 1998 Ford
•           Squad 229, 1998 Road Rescue
•           Fast Attack 220, 1988 Ford
•           Command 221, 2008 Ford Expedition
•           Engine 222, 2013 KME
•           Engine 227, 1993 Pierce
•           1938 Diamond T (completely restored for use in parades and other events)
The department follows a continuous training program, often multiple days each week, and always strives to provide the best service possible to our community. Funding for fire prevention and training is supplemented by fundraising activities of the Grafton Village Firefighter’s Association (a 501(c)3 organization).
