DESCRIPTION:April 3\, 2023 \n  \nRE:                   PLANNED POWER OUTAGE NOTIFICATION \nDate:               THURSDAY APRIL 6TH – 8:30AM to NOON \nRain Date:       TUESDAY APRIL 11TH – 8:30AM to NOON \nSTREETS: \nYarmouth north of Hyanis \nWellfleet north of Hyanis \nAll of Brewster Ct \nAll of Washington Dr \n  \nDear Grafton Power & Light customer\, \n  \nGVP&L is undergoing a systemwide service upgrade to improve reliability and future sustainability.  The improvements include a new MAIN Substation that will be completed in June 2023\, and converting all 4k distribution to 12.47k needed to meet the load of a growing community.  As the 12k distribution improvements are made in segmented areas through the Village\, a short outage is required to switch the 4kV line to the new 12kV lines.  Notification like this will be distributed by GVP&L personnel to customers when their zone and neighborhood will be affected by the necessary outage. \n  \nWeather permitting the date and time for planned outage has been established and this notice serves as your notification on the date and time stated above.  Please prepare for the planned outage\, limit opening refrigerators and freezers during the outage.  This notification also provides a RAIN-DATE should for any reason (including eminent weather) the planned outage be delayed. \n  \nShould you have any questions please call Village Hall Utility Department 440-926-2401\, extension 1\, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30AM and 3:00PM.

Several workshops are planned for this Summer  to encourage public participation in creating the Comprehensive Plan. Workshops previously held on June 8\, discussed Land Use\, recreational space\, housing and other Planning topics\, July 13th\, focused on Economic Development.   The next workshop is scheduled for August 12th focusing on Downtown Development and September 9th we will be wrapping up with considerations regarding Parks & Recreation.  Please watch the Village website for further information on these events.\nPlease take a few minutes to complete the PARKS survey and be part of the efforts to build the Grafton of Tomorrow\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Community BRUSH PICK UP Program scheduled to begin May 6\, 2020
DESCRIPTION:Seasonal pick up of small brush material begins annually the first Wednesday in May and ends the final Wednesday in October.  This is a public service offered to residential property owners who are performing self-maintenance of their property.  ANY and ALL Brush\, tree removal and tree trimming from commercial landscapers and or tree service companies are prohibited\, even if it is claimed they are working for “free” or as a “favor for a friend”\, and or “in trade for other services to the resident.” \nBrush is to be placed curbside no sooner than dusk on Tuesday’s and before 7:00 AM on Wednesday’s.  Brush put out before dusk on Tuesday’s is subject to building department property maintenance violation and could result in a fine. \nTHIS SERVICE IS CONDITIONAL AND DEPENDENT ON FAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS.  Weather permitting brush will be picked up every Wednesday unless an emergency should arise starting the first Wednesday in MAY and continuing into the last Wednesday in October. All brush must be out by 7:00 a.m. Limbs no longer than 4” diameter and cut to a maximum 8’ in length. Cut brush so it will go through an opening no larger than 8” x 8”.  Cut ends must face street and all laying in the same direction. Please separate any rose bushes or branches with thorns. Brush with thorns must be tied and bundled in no longer than 3’ lengths.  THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ROOT BALL MATERIAL\, no exceptions. No vines. \nThe brush chipper cannot chip any item with nails\, foreign objects and or any metal items as they will cause damage to the chipper which could significantly delay brush pick up and possibly hat all pick up until repairs can be made.  Brush with foreign materials or in garbage cans will not be accepted. If brush does not meet the requirements listed above\, it may not be picked up.  Brush pick up services are subject to cancellation at any time should needed equipment not be in service.  \nBrush pick up is currently scheduled to resume May 6th\, 2020.
