Village Council Meetings: Public Comment Procedure
Residents and guests who wish to speak during a Village Council meeting must complete a Public Comment Form and submit it to the Clerk-Treasurer prior to the start of the meeting.
- Approved speakers will be recognized during the public comment portion of the agenda.
- Each speaker is limited to three (3) minutes.
- Comments must be directed to Council and presented in a respectful and orderly manner.
In accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order and Village policy, the Mayor or President of Council reserves the right to gavel and restore order, including:
- Ending remarks that exceed the time limit,
- Halting comments that are disruptive, threatening, or not germane to Village business.
