DYS Announces Progress in Juvenile Justice System Transformation

The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) is moving forward with a transformation of its juvenile justice system by beginning construction this spring on four new buildings to replace the current, larger Cuyahoga Hills facility in Cuyahoga County. Two 36-bed centers will be built on Rockside Road in Bedford, Cuyahoga County, along with a renovated office complex for youth programming, administrative, and educational services. Additionally, two more 36-bed centers will be constructed in the Village of Grafton, Lorain County, on land previously owned by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
