2020 Public Land Lease Bid Document

Public Advertisement The Village of Grafton through its Village Administration is soliciting Bids for agricultural land lease of publicly owned land in GRAFTON, OH 44044.   Five Parcels totaling an estimated 426.26 acres located in part South of Capel Rd and WEST of Island Rd (2 parcels) and South of the Lorain Correctional Institution along and EAST of Avon Belden Rd (3 parcels).  The estimated land lease will be based on 395 acres and will span the months April through December 2020.  Land Lease Options by mutual agreement could include the same period for the 2021 and 2022 calendar years.  The final approval to lease public land is the final decision of Grafton Village Council.  Bid Packets may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  All bids must be submitted to; Village of Grafton, Attn Joe Price Village Administrator, at 960 Main St, Grafton Ohio, 44044, and received on or before NOON FRIDAY, January 17th, 2020, at which time a public Bid Opening will be held.  Village Council will consider final approval on or after January 21, 2020, at the regularly scheduled meeting of Council.  2020_Land Lease Bid Doc

Chestnut St Reconstruction Phase 2

INVITATION TO BID SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the CHESTNUT STREET IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 VILLAGE OF GRAFTON, OHIO will be received by the Village of Grafton, Ohio at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 960 Main Street, Grafton, Ohio 44044 until 12:00 Noon (Local Time) TUESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2020 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of work consists of completing reconstruction of approximately 730 feet of Chestnut Street, widening the pavement to 25 feet with new concrete curb/gutter and bituminous asphalt concrete pavement; 862’ of new 8″ diameter waterline (111’ horizontal cased bore crossing railroad), 758′ of new 8″ sanitary sewer, 192’ of new 6” sanitary force main (120’ horizontal cased bore crossing railroad); 1,508′ of new 12″, 15”, 18”, and 24″ storm sewer; new service laterals for water/sanitary/storm, precast concrete manhole and catch basin structures, concrete sidewalks, concrete drive approaches, and other necessary appurtenances. The contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Village of Grafton, Ohio and the Architect/Engineer — Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. (PDG). Shipping and tax charges are the bidder’s responsibility and payable directly to Becker Impressions. Bids must state the unit prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked as appropriate for the Contract(s) being included in the bid — CHESTNUT STREET IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 — and be addressed to the Village of Grafton, 960 Main Street, Grafton, Ohio 44044. The bid guaranty may be of two forms:

  1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.)
  2. A certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Grafton, Ohio, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond.

After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lorain County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Grafton, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. DOMESTIC STEEL AND MADE IN USA PRODUCTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED/USED FOR ALL MATERIAL ASPECTS/COMPONENTS OF THIS PROJECT. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. This project is being partially funded by Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) funds and Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA). The opinion of the probable cost of construction is $926,690.
