GRAFTON’S Open Door to Industrial Development

The FUTURE OF PUBLIC POWER is BRIGHT with GRAFTON’s PROJECT BEACON.

The Village of Grafton purchase of 711 acres of land in 2018 and 2019, has created a unique opportunity for Light Industrial Development on cleared and existing green-space within the Village, an Ohio Municipality.

Currently, more than 650 acres remain available for development.  The Grafton sites offer public utilities including Public Power, Water, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Water Management and a host of public municipal services.  *Qualifying Public Power customers could benefit from Grafton’s long-term Renewable-Energy Power Purchase Agreement incentive.

GRAFTON is a RENEWABLE ENERGY COMMUNITY hosting a 4MW tracker solar facility (May 2019) dedicated to providing power to Grafton Power & Light customers only.  Additionally, Grafton is considering expansion of its solar footprint by seeking Requests for Proposal from Solar Developers offering up to an additional 400+ acres for solar development.

*Renewable-Energy Power Purchase Agreement incentive; customers with a load demand equal to or greater than .5MW, and a minimum work force of 60-employees with an annual payroll greater than five-million-dollars, qualify for a Renewable-Energy Power Purchase Agreement incentive.

Economic Development Incentive possibilities include CRA (Community Reinvestment Areas) and TIF (Tax Increment Financing).
